Google Maps rank tracker for local agencies
Measure where a business appears for a service keyword across a neighbourhood. SEOMap turns point-level Google Maps results into a heatmap you can compare over time and explain to clients.

From a profile to a repeatable measurement
- Select the exact Google Business Profile using its CID or Place ID.
- Choose a service keyword, device, grid centre, spacing and square or circle.
- Review the credit estimate and choose Queue or Live.
- Inspect your rank and top-20 competitors at individual points.
- Repeat the same settings or schedule weekly or monthly scans to compare history.
One ranking cannot describe a whole city
Search location changes the results. A rank close to the business does not describe its coverage a kilometre away. ARP summarises found points; ATRP also includes not-found points; top-3 coverage tells you how much of the measured grid appears in the first three results. None of these metrics measures leads or revenue.

Transparent scan costs
A 5×5 square scan is 25 points: 25 Queue credits or 75 Live credits. The one-time 500-credit trial fits 20 such Queue scans or six Live scans, before other credit usage. Grids above 15×15 require a paid plan; supported grids extend to 21×21. Large grids and extra keywords multiply the workload.

Reporting that fits an agency workflow
Use ranking history, scheduled scans, CSV exports and public share links. Agency adds branded reports with a company name and logo, plus CSV bulk scans. The read-only REST API retrieves existing projects, scans and points; it does not start a scan. SEOMap is not a full website crawler, backlink index or listing-management suite.

How often should I measure?
Start with a baseline, keep the location, keyword, device and grid fixed, and repeat after a documented change. Weekly or monthly scheduling helps maintain comparable history. Credit or budget exhaustion can pause scheduled work; monitor its status.
Does using a rank tracker improve rankings?
The tracker measures visibility. It does not buy placement or make Google rank a business higher. Use the grid to identify questions, investigate the profile and website, and check later observations without claiming causation from a colour change.
