ARP, ATRP and top-3 coverage calculator

Paste point-level rankings to see how missing coverage changes the average. No account required; inputs are processed in your browser and are not sent to SEOMap.

Use 1–20 for found ranks, NF for not found and error for failed measurements. Errors are excluded from the valid-point denominator.

Example: ARP 4.00; ATRP 7.40; top-3 coverage 60%. Five valid points, one failed point.

A reproducible example

For 1, 2, 3, 10, NF and error, the four found ranks sum to 16. ARP is 16 / 4 = 4.00. With a not-found value of 21, ATRP is (16 + 21) / 5 = 7.40. Three of the five valid points rank in the top 3: 60% coverage. The technical error is reported separately.

Why ARP can improve as coverage falls

If the rank-10 point becomes not found, ARP improves to 2.00 while ATRP worsens to 9.60. No business improved at the remaining points; the found-only average simply lost its weakest result. Read ARP together with not-found share and ATRP.

Document the convention

SEOMap uses 21 for not found beyond the top 20. Change the value to 100 to inspect sensitivity, not to reproduce SEOMap. Local Falcon also defines ATRP as Average Total Rank Position including not-found points. That shared principle does not establish identical cutoff or technical-error handling.

This calculator excludes explicitly failed measurements. The current app metric helper averages the points passed to it; make sure your export distinguishes failures before comparing figures. An entirely failed sample has no valid ranking average.
