Terms of Service
Last updated: September 2026
1. Scope & provider
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the use of the SeoMap application atapp.seomap.dev and the marketing website at seomap.dev (together, the "Service"). The Service is provided by The CodeCave GmbH, Alfred-Nobel-Str. 29, 50226 Frechen, Germany ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.
2. The Service
SeoMap measures Google Maps rankings across a geo-grid for a defined service area and presents the results as heatmaps, together with related features such as competitor comparison, ranking history, recurring scans, report sharing/export, and (on eligible plans) white-label reports, CSV bulk scans, Google Search Console import and a read-only REST API. We may add, change or discontinue individual features over time.
3. Accounts
You need an account to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Let us know without delay if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
4. Plans, credits & billing
New accounts start with a limited number of free trial credits; no credit card is required to try the Service. Continued use beyond the trial requires a paid plan, billed on a recurring basis unless stated otherwise (for example a one-time lifetime plan). Current plans and prices are listed atseomap.dev/pricing and are shown in the application before you pay. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe, Inc. We do not store your full payment card details ourselves.
You can cancel a recurring plan at any time; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
- attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure;
- circumvent usage limits, credits or plan restrictions;
- resell or sublicense the Service without our prior written consent;
- use the Service to scrape or store third-party data in violation of that third party's terms.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where reasonably possible.
6. Third-party data & ranking results
Ranking data is retrieved via a third-party service provider and reflects a snapshot of publicly visible Google Maps results at the time of the scan. Google's algorithms and result pages can change at any time and are outside our control. We do not guarantee specific rankings, traffic or business outcomes from using the Service.
7. Intellectual property
We retain all rights in the Service, including its software, design and content, except for content you upload or configure yourself (for example your own location and keyword data). Map data shown in the application is based on OpenStreetMap data (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL).
8. Availability
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may perform maintenance, and third-party providers we depend on (hosting, ranking data, payments) may themselves have downtime outside our control.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are liable without limitation only for damages caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and for damages arising from injury to life, body or health. For damages caused by slight negligence, we are only liable in case of a breach of a material contractual obligation ("Kardinalpflicht"), and liability is limited to the damage typically foreseeable at the time the contract was entered into. This limitation does not affect statutory liability under mandatory law (for example product liability law).
10. Data protection
Processing of personal data is described in ourPrivacy Policy.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the Service or legal requirements. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes, such as by email or an in-app notice, before they take effect.
12. Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected. Where legally permissible, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is Frechen, Germany.
13. Contact
