That means the radius that matters for a dental practice is often just a handful of city blocks, not the whole metro area, and a practice that looks strong on a single “are we ranking” check can be sitting on a boundary it doesn’t know exists.

Why does the practice rank #1 in normal search but not on Google Maps two streets over?
Google Maps rankings are calculated per coordinate, based on proximity, relevance and the profile's own signals — they're not one global position. A grid scan is the only way to see that boundary instead of guessing at it from a single check.
Can I track different treatments as separate keywords?
Yes — run one scan per keyword ("Zahnarzt", "Kieferorthopäde", "Zahnreinigung", "Notdienst Zahnarzt"...). Each keyword can return a different map pack at the exact same location, so treating them as one ranking hides real differences.
We run a dental group with several locations — will they get mixed up?
